Tips & tricks to get prepared to your exams

Your room could be your most comfy zone in the whole, wide world. It’s where all the action is happening - getting ready for that see-and-be-seen rave, slumber parties, and
break ups’ burn-photos-and-cards feasts. It’s also your studying operations room in those ugly weeks before finals. When a full-size mirror is the focal point of your nest, and your cabled TV is programmed to Lost, Oprah and American Idol, you need to do a serious resetting to your boudoir to get it on exams mode.

1 minute     Set your MSN account onto the offline default and don’t open it unless your geekiest friend is online and you need to ask him a life or death question. Change your homepage from YouTube to www.biography.com. Each time you spot names like Martin Luther King and Muhammed Ali, you’ll be charged to study harder, or the
only website that’ll have your name on will be the facebook.

2 minutes   Save trips to the fridge by ordering your stocks of snacks and juice in an ice-box and keeping
them in your cell.

2 minutes   Put your cell phone and its charger in a corridor’s plug and keep them there for those weeks.
It’s easier to keep yourself from wasting time if you have to walk out of your room each time you need to text anyone.
Also, chatting while you’re standing up

as the whole house hears you, is highly discouraging.

2 minutes    Lend your mom your TV remote control batteries. Don’t worry; she’ll find a use for them. Give
her 30 seconds.

10 minutes    Master your designing skills on a massive studying schedule with a highly-illustrated calendar that allows you to cross out each day and feel lighter as you approach your holidays. Color it; scent it; plaster
it with kisses… your deal! You can use the screen of your unused TV to stick it on.

1 minute      Block any disturbances from nosy younger siblings with a bold “Genius @ Work, you idiots!”
door sign.

5 minutes         Empty your desk from unnecessary clutter. Unless you have a comprehensive final, get rid of
early chapter notes and quizzes, etc.

5 minutes          Compile a Studying Playlist folder on your i-pod. Beyonce’s Irreplaceable and Nelly Furtado’s
Say it Right are not a bad option. However, Umm Kalthoum always does it for me. It’s Ya Zalemni all the way, guys!

2 minutes         Hang a sandbag for excess energy moments and each time you want to kick someone’s erm
face.

In half an hour, you’ll have an anta7’a-proof room that’ll help
you get those A’s. But you might also need to break the
routine with regular studying sessions in the club
or library. Your neighbourhood café is also a
good idea as long as you won’t drive
long distances and be trapped
in one of the 15 May Bridge
curses. Good luck and no,
you still can’t keep your cell
phone in your room!
